Forest Trees (Divisions Coniferophyta and Angiospermae or Magnoliophyta)

The trees and large shrubs featured here are those commonly found in the Netarts watershed.  They include both native and introduced varieties, the latter often cultivars that have escaped and become pests.  The Coniferophyta (the conifers) are vascular plants included in a larger group, the Gymnosperms, and they produce naked seeds not enclosed in an ovary.  The Angiospermae or Angiosperms have seeds enclosed in an ovary.
